Garner Magnet High School is proud to introduce Mr. Danny Stellini as our new director of bands.

Mr. Stellini is a native of Golden, Colorado, and began his music journey at age six when he picked up the guitar. A few years later, when he began songwriting, he and his light rock band became the hit of his Elementary School!

Mr. Stellini was actively involved in the chorus program throughout High School, and it quickly became clear to him that he wanted to teach.

Mr. Stellini spent his college years at UNC-Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelors Degree in Music and Masters in Teaching. While at UNC, he studied Trumpet and Voice and conducted the orchestras for several musical theater and opera productions on campus. He had the pleasure of conducting the UNC Bands on several occasions as well as various community groups in and around North Carolina. During this time, he also founded an a cappella group called, “Sababa” and served as Music Director for four years.

This past year, Mr. Stellini completed his student teaching at Leesville Road High School with Mr. David Albert.

In addition to his love of music and teaching, Mr. Stellini is fascinated by aviation; a passion that has followed him ever since he was very young. Last month, he earned his Private Pilot’s License fulfilling a dream of a lifetime. Mr. Stellini is very excited to be joining the Garner Band family and is looking forward to the year ahead!
